Welcome to GHTP.net. Let’s give you a little history lesson, shall we?

Let’s start in 2004. Greg Hastings Tournament Paintball was about to hit the street’s and your Dave (your lowly admin) was not able to play ball at the time so he starts up www.ghtp.net as an “ultimate index/fan page” for the game. Hey, if you can’t play you can support right?! Amazingly people start to visit the site and the next thing you know we have Greg and his team knocking at our door and wanting to bring us into the GHTP fold. So blammo… we went from the #1 fansite, to the OFFICIAL page just like that. Pretty cool huh? It doesn’t end there, though.

We kept supporting the page, and talking (both Greg, Dave and the Developers) and the site is still hoppin’ and active FAR past the games release and never missed a beat. GHTP goes on to sell nearly 500,000 copies (that’s XB Platinum status right there!) and of course spawns the sequel…

Late 2005 comes along, and Greg and his team announce GHTP MAX’D and again we’re a boomin’. The whole team is on the site and constantly interacting with the users. This is the main reason why we don’t call our site forums the usual “forums” in the link. We call it “Community” because people like you are our family. You’re the reason we exist… so we welcome you into the community, because it’s much more than a place to sit and chat. It’s a family. Awww… I’m getting sappy.

Well… GHTP MAX’D also turns into a runaway success, and Greg starts getting to work on idea’s for his next game. Unfortunately a lot of time passed, and due to various issues (that are happily now resolved) the game got back burnered. Luckily Greg is dedicated to this series… I mean dedicated. The dude eats, sleeps, and pee’s paintball and GHTP. So he got everything back on track and late 2008 the “official announcement” of GHTP2 comes out and again… the world rejoices, and everything is well.

So here we are. GHTP.net in all it’s… ummm… glory? We’re just happy we’re still here, and you guys are still psyched to be here with us. Needless to say we want to thank ALL OF YOU for being so amazing, and keeping up to date with us. There’s always some bumps in the road, but we’re past those and hope to start droppin’ the info bombs again soon.

So… there you have it. Our history. **take a bow**
